The paintings in this exhibit date from 1992 to the present. From 1992 to 2002 I had the privilege of working in the studio of H.W. Kurlander, an incredibly talented and widely renowned New York artist, who was also a one-of-a-kind teacher, in that she was generous with her knowledge and insight, and truly wanted to bring out the artist in all her students. I thank her for taking whatever talent was in me and nurturing it with ultimate generosity. The painting called "Garden Fantasy" is an homage to her - those of you familiar with her amazing floral landscapes will understand.
Each of the thumbnails below is a peek at a part of the actual painting. Click on each to see the full painting and a brief discussion, docent style, of how it came to be. Some of these will link to a new page, while others will pop up on the same page. To get back to this page, just go back to the "Oil Paintings" link on top again.
(we will be adding more artwork and discussions to come, so check back)
